Got a question? We might have your answer.
Why Manual Transmissions? Why not Automatics?
We will be offering automatics! But will be prioritizing manuals. This is because we believe manual transmissions are easier to develop strong, emotional connections with. Those connections lead to higher user enjoyment. Not to mention, enthusiasts will love that we’re offering manuals, and will spread the word.
Why not develop the tech and sell it (as opposed to building cars)?
Because, the likelihood of this technology reaching the market in a package as environmentally friendly and profitable as ours when built by someone else is: extremely low. Other companies are locked into their unsustainable supply chains, their heavy and inefficient drivetrains and unethical business practices. No one else has the same level of commitment we have to the technology. It is likely that other companies would try to acquire exclusive licensing rights to our technology, only to never bring it to market, to protect the billions of dollars they have invested in their existing systems. We don’t want this to happen.
“If you want something done right, do it yourself.”
What are the funds you are trying to raise in your seed round being used for?
Creating competitive advantages unique to our system to establish ourselves as market leaders, establish our place of operations, hire employees, and establish our first filling station.
What funding will be required for Stage 1 of phase 1?
We will be looking to raise CAD$2,000,000 with the goals of: establishing our prototypes, acquiring a prototyping facility, hiring employees, bringing the first filling station to market and completing real world testing of the technology.
Why are you doing 2 funding rounds?
The first funding round is intended to help us develop our prototypes, and establish our IP, while bringing the first filling station to market. The second funding round is intended to bring the Sr-F concept to production.
